Mark your calendar for carols with a “view” on Buderim – Saturday, 12th December

The Buderim War Memorial Community Association (BWMCA) are asking locals to save the date in their calendar as they prepare to spread the message of peace and goodwill at the annual Buderim Community Carols on Saturday 12th December.

BWMCA_LOGO_HThis will be the first time the annual event has been held at the new Buderim Village Park. The park boasts stunning views across the Sunshine Coast so event organisers know this will add to the family fun atmosphere that Community Christmas carols create.

BWMCA Carols organiser Andrew Butterworth said that this years line-up of performers include, Buderim’s own opera star Natalie Peluso, the Buderim Youth Theatre of Excellence (BYTES) and of course a visit from Santa.

“This family fun event, starting at 6.30pm, is a great opportunity for everyone in the community to come together and celebrate the festive season and sing along to some of your favorite Carols,” Mr Butterworth said.

“Natalie Peluso’s repertoire will include the beautiful songs “O Holy Night” and “Maria Wegenlied” (Mary’s Lullaby by Max Reger). The youthful exuberance and talent of the BYTES team under direction of Buderim’s Robyn Ernst will be in full swing.”

“We will also have candles, glow sticks and other products for sale, with proceeds going back to the BWMCA for future events.”

The event is made possible through the generous support of event partners, the Buderim Bendigo Community Bank and sponsorship from the Sunshine Coast Council, Carvosso and Winship Solicitors, Reflected Image PRoductions, JPG Print and Design, the Buderim Chronicle, Sunshine Coast Daily and104.9 Sunshine FM.

“Even if it rains, the show will go on – moving into the Buderim War Memorial Hall as the wet weather alternative.”

All partners, sponsors and organisers are excited about putting on the event and ask the community to get involved by enjoying a great night of family fun and support the aim of spreading peace and goodwill within our community.

“So bring your fold up chairs or picnic rugs and your voices and we will see you there!” Mr Butterworth said. To help hungry tummies, a sausage sizzle will be on site.

Entry to the Buderim Community Carols at the new Buderim Village Park is gold coin donation.
