Massive celebrations for The Wharf Mooloolaba & SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast massive 30th Birthday!

Mooloolaba and Sunshine Coast icons The Wharf Mooloolaba and SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast are celebrating their 30^th Birthday with a massive weekend-long party this weekend.

Kicking off today with two cakes – one for humans and another very special one for SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast’s seals, the weekend is a family-focused festivity that celebrates the past of the precinct, while also looking to the future.

The Wharf Mooloolaba has been undergoing a resurgence in popularity over the past three years as it has been renovated, making it the place to meet, eat, shop and explore, attracting over 500,000 locals and visitors a year.

“But we’re not done yet and we have lots more exciting plans in place,” The Wharf Mooloolaba co-owner Dirk Long said today.

“Later this year we will be officially opening the new Wharf Alley and we still have Hogs Breath Café and our iconic Tower to makeover, as well as some exciting plans for the upstairs areas which will be revealed next year,” Mr Long said.

SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Regional General Manager Quinn Clarke said the team from the aquarium – is thrilled to celebrate the milestone with the local community and visitors to the region.

“We are encouraging local residents and visitors to the Sunshine Coast to come down to  celebrate our 30^th Birthday this weekend. We will be offering KIDS GO FREE* deals as well as plenty of activities for people keen to get up close with our magnificent sea creatures including sharks, seals and seahorses.” ^{*conditions apply}.

The free activities at The Wharf include a giant super slide, face painting, jumping castle, reptile display as well as free stand up paddle boarding and kayaking at Sunreef Mooloolaba, free river cruises with Coastal Cruises Mooloolaba and aerial skills acrobat displays from Just Acrobatics.
