The Sunshine Coast Real Food Festival is gearing up to be the biggest festival yet and organisers are calling on local exhibitors to book their space now.
The Real Food Festival, which will once again bring together the best Sunshine Coast food products and services from paddock to plate, will be held in Maleny on 13 & 14 September 2014.
With half the exhibitor sites already filled and an exciting program in the works, organisers advise prospective exhibitors to apply now to secure their place at the Festival.
Festival Director, Julie Shelton, said the Real Food Festival is a celebration of the wonderful variety of food that Sunshine Coast producers, manufacturers, retailers, cafés and restaurants have to offer.
“The Sunshine Coast Real Food Festival offers exhibitors a unique opportunity to capitalise on the growing interest in local foods, engage with customers, raise awareness of their brand, gather concrete market research and sell products directly to Festival visitors,” Julie said.
“It’s a joyful celebration of good food and a unique gathering of the Sunshine Coast food community – what a fantastic opportunity for local food-related businesses to stand shoulder-to-shoulder in support of the rich diversity of what we produce here,” Julie said.
Julie said the Real Food Festival organising team would love to see all Sunshine Coast enterprises with a passion for good food to get involved in the Festival.
“It’s not just about the weekend – we are encouraging people to book their exhibitor space now to ensure they can take up opportunities to be involved in pre-event and media promotions as well as the Festival itself,” Julie said.
The Sunshine Coast Real Food Festival is expecting 10,000 visitors through the gates over the Festival weekend.
In addition to the exhibitors, the Festival will include a full program of cooking demonstrations, chef presentations, conversations, interactive workshops and kids activities across six different venues within the Festival.
The Real Food Festival will be held at the Maleny Showgrounds, 13 Stanley River Road, Maleny on 13 & 14 September from 9am to 4pm daily and will showcase an abundance of good foods from Sunshine Coast producers, manufacturers and restaurants. Entry is $20 for a daily adult pass and children under 16 are free.
