Bankfoot house was established by pioneers William and Mary Grigor in 1868 as a roadside accommodation house on the new road from Brisbane to the Gympie gold rush. It is the oldest surviving building in the Glass House Mountains. It is now a Historical and Interpretive Centre that reveals to it’s many visitors what life was like for the Sunshine Coast’s early settlers.
To tell their story Reflected Image was hired by Sunshine Coast Council to produce a range of historical documentaries about the life of pioneers William and Mary Grigor, their descendants, the history of the house itself, the role of the Friends of Bankfoot House volunteers in running the centre, as well as a short documentary covering the Reuinion of the Grigor family.
