With spring blooms already in bud, the annual Buderim Garden Festival is set to return from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th October 2025, celebrating the season with a comprehensive program of open gardens, exhibitions and plant markets.

Now in its 49th year, the Festival represents the showcase event for the Buderim Garden Club, which has been nurturing the region’s horticultural tradition since its establishment in 1946.

Buderim Garden Club President John Lyon said the Buderim community has always had an affinity with gardening, with the Festival at the heart of their annual program since 1975.

“We are very proud that the Festival attracts visitors from around the state, and this year’s Festival is coming together better than ever,” Mr Lyon said.

The busy three-day schedule includes Open Gardens, the Spring Flower, Floral Art and Photographic Shows in the Buderim War Memorial Hall. At the Craft Cottage, adjacent to the Hall, Buderim’s potters and sculptors will present exhibitions including “The Sculptured Garden”, and St Mark’s Church next door have their Floral Display, and adjacent to the Hall, there are quality plant markets selling a wide range of garden plants and items.

“The Open Gardens includes six very different but all beautiful gardens that showcase the diversity in size and style of gardening in our area.” This year featuring a garden drive through that you self-drive through, featuring a special “Christmas Themed” night garden on Friday and Saturday nights from 6 – 8pm.
