University of the Sunshine Coast students are heading to Malaysia to continue their work to save Borneo Sun Bears after a documentary screening fundraiser raised $1,100.
As part of the students Public Relations Degree, the project supporting the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre (BSBCC), provides industry experience for students and exposure for the new adoption program of Bornean Sun Bears which the students have developed.

Documentary screening to support Borneo Sun Bears
Students from the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC) are holding a free film screening on January 30 to raise funds for the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre (BSBCC).
The Australian produced documentary ‘Big Dream, Little Bears’ focuses on founder of the Conservation Centre, Siew Te Wong, and his dream of saving Asia’s sun bears. It’s an inspirational story which the students hope will help raise awareness of the plight of this ‘vulnerable’ listed species.
