The finalists will also participate in a special Media Masterclass to help them maximise the benefits they can get from being a Sunshine Coast Business Awards finalist.

Sunshine Coast Business Awards Chair Jennifer Swaine said the cocktail party was a great opportunity for finalists to celebrate their success.

“Business for everyone has been tough for the past two years and we are very keen to celebrate especially given last year’s Awards had to be cancelled due to COVID-19.

“There is a lot of work for business people to get to this stage of the awards and this year’s entries were of a very high calibre, with all entrants doing a lot of work in putting their entries together, so, to get to this point our finalists have achieved a lot already.”

Suncoast Spinners president Bridie Kean said the Club was disappointed that they would not be able to hold the Open Tournament for a second time due to COVID.

“The whole wheelchair basketball community looks forward to our Open Tournament each year with teams travelling from around the country, but unfortunately because of the uncertainty created by the ongoing COVID situation, the Club was unable to throw open the tournament to everyone.

Sunshine Coast Business Awards entry deadline extended

Entrants to the 2021 Sunshine Coast Business Awards will have an extra three days to put the finishing touches on their applications, with the deadline for entries extended to Monday 30th August at 5pm.

Sunshine Coast Business Awards Chair Jennifer Swaine said entries were starting to flow in ahead of the deadline, but many businesspeople had requested the weekend so they could finalise their entries.

“With Covid restrictions affecting many of our entrants, some asked if they could have a little extra time so they could ensure their applications were the best they could be, so we have extended the deadline to accommodate this,” Mrs Swaine said.

Less than three weeks to enter the 2021 Sunshine Coast Business Awards

And with just three weeks left to enter this year’s Awards, it is a good time to focus on the benefits.

Sunshine Coast Business Awards Chair Jennifer Swaine said with the current lockdown a reminder of the impact Covid-19 was continuing to have for all businesses, they wanted this year’s Awards to be a real acknowledgement and celebration of the Sunshine Coast’s resilience.

“With everyone facing challenges and uncertainty again, taking the opportunity to look at your business as you go through the entry process, can be rewarding in itself,” Mrs Swaine said.

And past winners and finalists agree.
