Sunshine Mitre 10, like many other local businesses, is doing what it can to assist Gympie to recover from the devastating flood damage experienced over the past week, donating $20,000 worth of materials to assist.

Sunshine Mitre 10 General Manager Neil Hutchins said $2,000 accounts have been established for 10 local community organisations which were heavily affected by flooding, so they could get the supplies they needed most.
“This flood event has affected so many in the community that as locals we wanted to do something to help,” Mr Hutchins said.
It’s the first time the iconic heritage railway experience will mark the occasion since returning to regular services in October last year, and a rare opportunity to enjoy a very special trip on the Mary Valley Rattler at night.
The heritage railway experience is on track to run 34 services in December, a 30% increase from its regular timetable of the 26 services spread across Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays since the popular attraction reopened in early October.
The inaugural Mary Valley Rattler Twilight Christmas Train will depart historic Gympie Station on Tozer Street on Friday 14th December at 5.30pm, on an extended return trip to Amamoor Station.
