The Commemoration on Monday April 25 begins with the Dawn Service commencing at 5.15am on the eastern escarpment of Buderim Village Park. The Service will be lead by Wing Commander Ken Webb CSM (Retd) and the speaker will be Major Jim Campbell DFC (Retd).



Sunreef will head out for a night dive and turn off our lights for one minute on dusk to bring awareness to the Earth Hour campaign. For those who can’t make the dusk dive, Sunreef will also host a morning dive, also on March 19, which will discuss climate change on the boat ride out the ex-HMAS wreck.

The 2016 season will be Sunreef’s third after launching Australia’s 1st Swimming with Humpback Whale encounters in 2014. Sunreef are keen to help more people experience an encounter with these magnificent mammals from a new perspective.
Sunreef Mooloolaba launched its Swim with Whales experience in 2014 and there is strong demand for this truly unique wildlife experience.
The “Spirit of Buderim” publication is a joint initiative of the Buderim War Memorial Community Association (BWMCA) and the Buderim Foundation.

Creative Story Stones are a tool to spark children’s creativity and imagination and it doesn’t hurt that it is an opportunity to get them away from “screen time” including TV and devices that have become so prevalent.
